Pastor Pat Bopp

Pat has been the pastor of Raccoon Ford Christian Fellowship since January of 1995.  He has served in a variety of roles during his twenty-five years in full-time Christian service.  Staff position have included church and school administration, worship leader, music director, and one previous term as a senior pastor.  After an initial set of undergraduate and graduate degrees in music, Pastor Pat recently completed a Masters of Divinity degree with honors from The King’s Seminary in Los Angeles.  A Doctor of Ministry program at Regent University began in the fall of 2007.

In addition to his work in preaching, teaching, and pastoral care, Pat also ministers and equips others in prophetic ministry, prayer for healing and personal needs, and deliverance.  Pastor Pat is a gifted communicator known for his honesty and vulnerability. His openness about the Holy Spirit’s dealings in his life often helps others to embrace their own condition before God and trust God for the help they need.

Shortly after Pat came to Raccoon Ford his wife Debbie was diagnosed with cancer.  In April of 1997, she went home to be with the Lord.  In July of 1998 Pat married Penny Cook who was also a widow.  Penny is an experienced educator having served as a full-time home economics professor at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.  Prior to that she taught on the high school level in the Baltimore County School system.  She currently teaches sixth grade math in Culpeper county.  She also runs a successful home-based business.  Penny served as a missionary in Israel for three and a half years and in Kenya for a year and a half.  She established the Kid's church program at Raccoon Ford and is a strong proponent of the work and movement of the Holy Spirit in the life of the church.  She is a woman of warmth and dignity and is known for her hospitality, kindness, and approachability.

Pat and Penny live in Locust Grove and have two children.  Nathan is a twenty-four year old 2006 Cum Laude graduate of Mary Washington University in Fredericksburg, Virginia.  He completed a Bachelors of Arts degree in History and Education and is a second-year teacher in Culpeper County.  He is married to the former Mary Beth Loy of Louisa, Virginia.

Amy is twenty and is in her third year at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia.  She is studying voice and majoring in choral music education.  She is a gifted prophetic and prayer minister and is also skilled in worship leading.
